Slow burn sloth3/24/2023 ![]() ![]() On top of that the other one just got way more complicated and way more interesting. At times the story was really heartbreaking, but I really loved how one of the ongoing storylines was resolved in this book. Quite some emotional things happened in this book and every mate had to show his true feelings and colors. Slow Burn Sloth (SCP-2774): With Ariel Hack, Max Root, Ryan Stewart, Abigail Turner. What I really enjoyed, once more, in this book though is watching the relationship between Z and her mates grow and develop. The one scene where we did really travel into the kingdom was quite sickening and therefore very vivid. However, it's quite clear, even from the few things we did see, that no place in this world is friendly towards humans. I know that strictly speaking we didn't see much more of the vampire kingdom either, but for some reason I felt like we got a better impression of life in that kingdom. I also would have loved to see a little more of the mage world. I'll also throw in my 001, 'When Day Breaks', as that was originally written for the horror contest as well. SCP-3998 The Wicker Witch Lives by Fantem. So the faster they move, the more calories they burn meaning the more leaves they have to eat. It's still a good book, just not as great as the other three. I enjoyed it an awful lot and finished the book in one sitting. For some reason I didn't have the same adrenaline rush while reading this book and somehow my feelings were less extreme. It's more a feeling and not an objective observation. I have to admit that I liked this fourth book a little less than the previous three, but it's hard to pinpoint why exactly. I know that authors need time to write books, but I want the rest of this series like RIGHT NOW! However, at least today I could enjoy this fourth book in the series and now I will wait. I love this world, I love these characters, I love the quick pacing even though May takes her time to tell her story, I love the magic, I love the brutality and now I'm very sad that the next three books are unwritten yet.
